The upgraded Insole inserts.
Price went down and they added better insoles. Did I mention they look great!

Good shoes
Bought for my husband and brother. They both fired them comfortable and sturdy.

good stiff shoe, good traction, plasticy look
I just use these working outside and walking around the block. My feet are too painful these days to going hiking. The shoe has good tread on it for traction, although less deep than hiking shoes I've had previously. The sole is nice and stiff, including in the forefoot, which is what I need to keep my arthritic torn up toes from overbending and exacerbating my neuroma. The sole is not quite as wide in the toes as the same size Fitville diabetic shoe sole. I think should have gotten the x-wide instead of wide. The sole is also not as springy as the diabetic shoe soles. The insole is bouncy, but the shoe and insole do not provide arch support. Initially I put my arch and metatarsal support insoles on top of the Fitville insoles. I like that extra cushion, but it leaves too little side/head room for my problem toes. So I took the Fitville insoles out. But then my arch and metatarsal support insoles weren't providing enough cushion on their own, so now I have added a flat thin cushion insole from an unrelated pair of shoes I can't use anymore due to my foot breaking down. The end of the tongue is very stiff, so it jambs into my ankle a bit. It would be better if it was not so reinforced (with the logo) on that end (see pic). The shoe material has a kind of plasticy fake look to it, but it is functional, and has kept my feet dry from wet ground.

Very comfortable. Great fit

Might be a little larger than average
I typically wear a Wide and this shoe seemed made well, but the "wide" seemed too wide.

Not Waterproof
These are decent shoes for the price. I bought them, however, specifically to wear during my morning walks, about ten minutes of which is on grass. The first time I wore them - not during a rain or through any puddles, just through dewed grass - my socks became so wet I had to change them when I got back home. The ad clearly says the shoes are waterproof, but they clearly are not!

Not at all slip resistant!
Buyer beware. These shoes are NOT slip resistant on wet tile or other smooth surfaces. In fact, they slip like I am on oil or grease any time I encounter wetness (water or other liquids) on a hard smooth surface. I am sending them back due to safety concerns as we speak. (Yes I know we are not actually speaking to each other)The shoe strings do not move easily so it is very difficult to put them on and get them tight. And it is very difficult to take them off.I have very wide feet and had to order half a size larger in order to get a comfortable fit.

I was hopeful.
The shoe fit well. I was happy to give them a try. The support was not there. Half way through my shift my feet and ankles ached. I tried a sole insert and was only slightly better. Maybe on a different surface but not on a cement floor all day. Sorry.
